DRCC a Finalist in QORF Awards October 13, 2011

DRCC is a Finalist at the Annual QORF Awards (Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation) for it’s KWT Maxxis Sunshine Series Downhill Event at Hennessey Hill, Beerburrum. The club is a finalist in The Brisbane City Council Outdoor Event Award – which recognises the achievements of and indiviual / organisation / committee that has undertaken the development and management of a ‘significant’ outdoor recreation event in Queenlsand.
The club was recognised for the award after liasing with Sunshine Coast Regional Council in the opening and ceremonial aspects of the event. The event acted as Round 3 of the KWT Maxxis Sunshine Series, but also the official opening of the new Hennessey Hill Downhill Mountain Bike Track by Cr Debbie Blumel.
Sunshine Coast Regional Council are also finalists in the QORF Awards for their development of the Outdoor Recreation Maps, including where to Bushwalk, Mountain Bike and the forthcoming Horse Ride.
